How to Find an Accountant

Lately I've been hearing about how business owners are struggling to find a freelance accountant for their firm. While there is an industry shortage of professionals, we are available! With recent advances in technology, some professionals opt to work virtually as opposed to being in a physical office.

If you're a business owner seeking an accountant, keep reading. If you know a business owner that's searching for an accountant, share to spread awareness.

If you use QuickBooks Online, you can easily find one through the Intuit ProAdvisor Directory here:

You can search for professionals by zip code and each profile includes relevant information such as credentials and industries served.

Another option is to simply do a Google search (or use Google Maps)  and use key words such as, "bookkeeper" or "accountant" in your area.

When reaching out to a professional, be sure to exercise due diligence by asking if they offer a free consultation, have prior reviews,  and expertise with various sectors. Word of mouth from peers is a good way to determine a good fit.
